I recently stayed at a hotel in Kazakhstan's capital and had a great experience. the location was ideal, with stunning views of the city, especially at night from the higher floors. Secondly, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay very enjoyable. Additionally, the hotel was very affordable and offered great value for money. Lastly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, with daily changes to the bed linen and bath towels.
Everything was just fine, no complaints at all.

All together the Tengri Hotel is one of this places where you arrive, you have a beer in the bar, you go to sleep, you have breakfast in the morning and nothing stands out. Everything is there and nothing is missing, but it is a place without soul. So the first thing that pops up in my mind is average. There are some nice and helpful people and some really unfriendly, the beer tastes good, the coffee is a disaster, the towels are fresh, the shower is clean but shabby. For a business trip ok, but for holidays I would never go there.

Location and the service
Some rooms are not well heated despite the very severe and cold winter!!! The wireless internet and TV channels were disrupted frequently and for long periods of time.

Unable to alter the room temperature - for me it was a little too warm.

The room was not heated satisfactorily and adjustments could not be made to the temperature. The bed had insufficient top covering. No blanket was available in the room. We received no response to our complaint. In sum, we have noted the decline in standards since our previous visit in October, 2012. The hotel lacks a service mentality.
